BSc (Hons), MRes
Postgraduate Research Assistant
My undergraduate degree was in Biomedical Sciences with Oxford Brookes University, focusing on pathophysiology in late stage heart failure patients. Following this, I completed a MRes with the University of Sheffield in Translation Oncology. The main focus of this was the characterisation of a novel small molecule targeting intermediate filaments in cells with had undergone epithelial to mesenchymal transition.
Currently I am working as a research assistant within the Douglas group, Cardiovascular Medicine Department. I mainly work with primary endothelial cells as models to evaluate the roles of novel genes involved in mediating coronary artery disease.
